First Thursday Clothing Study Group Visits India

The First Thursday Clothing Study Group has spent the year looking at international and ethnic clothing with an emphasis on how these styles may affect current fashion.  On April 12, Nimi Rao was a guest speaker at a program moderated by Judy Warren and Ruth Blau on clothing in India.  Nimi brought many beautiful saris from her collection and demonstrated different ways to wrap them, using group members as models.  Several members also brought saris they had acquired through travel, gifts, the guild auction, yard sales, and Indian clothing stores in the U.S.
